A blue course: a steeper hill and changes of rhythm that ask you to look a gate ahead.
Super-G is fast and sweeping, with big gaps between gates. Take a high line into the delayed gates so you’re not braking at the pole, then tuck through the glides.
How to ski Glacier
- Start to split 1 (gates 1–4)
- A big turn at gate 4.
- Split 1 to split 2 (gates 5–8)
- Ice between gates 6 and 7.
- Split 2 to split 3 (gates 9–12)
- A jump between gates 9 and 10, ice between gates 12 and 13.
- Split 3 to the finish (gates 13–15)
- Fast, sweeping turns.
- Big turns: set them up early and high, and stay off the brakes.
- Jumps: let go of the tuck before the lip, then tuck again just before it to stay low and land sooner.
- Ice: finish the turn before it and glide across flat.
The Course Setter skis it in 39.91 s, topping 67 mph (107 km/h).
